About 3AM I woke up and decided that I wanted to go to the lake.  I dragged on some jeans and a shirt and while likely sleepwalking climbed into the Jeep and headed out to Caddo Lake.

Caddo Lake  is the only natural lake in the state and is about a 3 hour drive from my home.  The lake features a very unique setting of cypress trees growing out of the water making  for very strange and often kinda spooky visuals.

When I arrived at the lake I hooked up with Cindy, the proprietor of one of the boat tour services and took a very enjoyable 1 cruise around the lake and adjacent waterways.

Because it is early in the season there is not a whole lot of color on the lake but it is still breathtaking.  My images really don’t do it justice.
